What you’ll do

You are invited to take a seat, settle into an Aura Interactor cushion, and observe the digital fashion showcase, as the garments move on screen, allow the haptic feedback and spatial audio to convey the weight, texture, and rhythm of digital material.

About the project

A haptic augmented digital fashion presentation where audiences are seated with Aura Interactor cushions to experience a virtual runway. By synthesising phygital sensory interaction with digital dress, the installation creates an immersive fashion encounter that unites directional audio, digital materials, and haptic feedback devices.

Behind the work

This showcase emerges from doctoral inquiries into the phenomenology of virtual garments, explicitly interrogating the sensory boundaries of digital fashion. Introducing a somatic phygital methodology, this project bridges the intangible space between virtual apparel and the participant's physical nervous system. The work repurposes haptic feedback devices to simulated tactile experiences of digital textiles directly. The spectator is transformed from a passive observer into an embodied participant, discovering how computational dress can evoke genuine sensations of physical interactions and digital material presence.
