What you’ll do
The four surrounding screens are for viewing. The central projection is interactive, for one visitor at a time. Stand at the marked spot in front of the screen and follow the sound and text cues: 1.Spread your hands to tear the darkness open. 2.Once inside the white light, try to become still. Each experience lasts one to two minutes. No devices or touch are required.
About the project
An Unfinished Body is an installation of five screens. On four surrounding screens, the artist's own body is reshaped through AI: limbs and heads graft onto one another, rendered in the language of ink rubbing as a mechanised body of the future. At the centre, a real-time interactive projection invites viewers to tear open the darkness and step into white light. There, the more one moves, the more thoughts gather; only stillness lets them disperse into emptiness. Around the edges, the body keeps accumulating; at the centre, it is taken away. The work sets technology's fantasy of augmentation beside the possibility of letting go.
